This homemade face polish recipe is one of my all-time favourites. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed, moisturised and clean. Hemp seed oil, coconut oil, and essential oils work to kill bacteria while providing nutrients and hydration.
The baking soda – which is a great alternative to environmentally disastrous plastic microbeads – gently sloughs off dead skin cells, and the cocoa butter soothes and seals in moisture to keep your skin looking radiant and youthful.
Hemp & Coconut Face Polish
30g Coconut Oil
10g Cocoa Butter
1 tsp Hemp Seed Oil
5 drops Lemon Essential Oil
5 drops Lime Essential Oil
In a bowl over hot water heat up the Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil, once melted take off the heat and add the Hemp Seed Oil, Baking Soda and Essential Oils, stir to combine. Store in a jar, ceramic or brushed aluminium container.
Use about half a teaspoon once or twice a week on your face and neck, mix with a little water and gently massage for 30 seconds, then remove with warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid the eye area.
I use this in shower the morning twice a week and love how my feels afterwards. Triona
