Most of you probably know what Thieves Oil is; a blend of five essential oils, clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary that’s known for it’s immune boosting, bacteria fighting qualities. Thieves Oil is best applied topically when mixed with a carrier oil, however it can also be used in a diffuser or oil burner (it’s wonderful in our Himalayan Salt Oil Burning Lamps) added into your favourite massage oil, made into a room spray or worn as a fragrance.
Thieves Oil actually dates back to the Middle Ages where the oil kept a group of merchants safe from the Black Plague. The mixtures of antiseptic, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties were able to stave off the Plague and keep the merchants safe.
You can purchase the oil online from a range of suppliers, but it’s much more cost effective to make your own. This recipe was sent in by one of our subscribers, Kate Fuller, thanks for sharing Kate.
